Jeremy's week ahead

Week beginning 17th December 2007

On Monday morning Jeremy will be attending a meeting with local and public sector-bodies to discuss the South of Scotland competition strategy. He will then be meeting representatives from THUS plc to discuss broadband in the Borders. In the afternoon, Jeremy will be meeting with Up2U representatives in Peebles to discuss funding issues.

On Tuesday Jeremy will be holding a meeting with the President of the National Union of Student (NUS). In the evening Jeremy will be attending the Penicuik High School Christmas Concert.

On Wednesday morning Jeremy will be attending the Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Committee where the Committee will be further discussing the budget. Jeremy will then be in the Chamber for the Government debate on the EU Reform Treaty and then will be speaking in the debate about Border TV News.

On Thursday Jeremy will be in the Chamber speaking in favour of the Abolition of Bridge Tolls (Scotland) Bill and the Graduate Endowment Abolition (Scotland) Bill.

On Friday Jeremy will be in the constituency, and will be visiting staff and patients at the Borders General Hospital (BGH) to thank the staff specifically for all their hard work over the festive season.
