Jeremy's week ahead6.20.16pm GMT Mon 28th Jan 2008 Week beginning 28 January 2008 On Monday Jeremy will be in the constituency. On Tuesday morning Jeremy will be meeting with a representative from the Scottish Institute for Residential Child Care, whom will be briefing Jeremy on her work with children who are looked after away from home. In the afternoon Jeremy will be meeting a representative from BBC Scotland to discuss how the Borders is represented in BBC Education programming. On Wednesday morning Jeremy will be meeting with the Chief Executive of Festival City Theatres to discuss new proposals for the creative industries. In the afternoon, Jeremy will be in the Chamber for the Ministerial Statement on delivering more effective government followed by the Scottish Government debate concerning the importance of Scottish history in the school curriculum. In the evening, Jeremy will be attending a parliamentary reception celebrating the Big Lottery Young People's Fund. On Thursday Jeremy will be in the Chamber for First Minister's Question Time and the Government debate on poverty. On Friday Jeremy will be meeting with the Education Officer for Midlothian to discuss education in Midlothian. Jeremy will then be attending a Tweeddale Safety Awareness Group meeting for an update on the Group's campaign for improvements to roads in the Peebles old town area. In the afternoon Jeremy will be holding his regular surgery in the Victoria Hall, Selkirk, from 4.30-6pm. Constituents are welcome to drop in at any point between those times.
