MICHAEL MOORE'S WEEK AHEAD MONDAY 10 - FRIDAY 14 MARCH 20089.32.53am GMT Fri 7th Mar 2008 This week looks set to be another busy week. Here are some highlights: "On Monday morning I will be visiting my old school Jedburgh Grammar to speak to the Sixth Year Modern Studies Class about the topics they have been covering this academic year, including the politics of China, before meeting with the Acting Rector. This will be followed by an update meeting with the secretary of the A7 Action Group, which I chair in my constituency. Later on I will be heading down to Westminster for the start of the parliamentary week. On Tuesday morning I will attend a Business for New Europe breakfast meeting before the Liberal Democrat Shadow Cabinet. This will be followed by a meeting with RNIB to discuss digital switchover - last week I wrote to the Secretary of State to urge him to make talking menus a feature of the set-top boxes that will be provided as part of the Digital Switchover Help Scheme. In the afternoon I will meet the Student Stop Aids campaign group. Later on I will meet Mike Orr, the Executive Director of Natural Organic Fertiliser Company, who is from Selkirk, to discuss the issues facing the composting industry. On Wednesday I will be in the chamber for International Development Questions, Prime Minister's Questions and then the Budget. In his speech, I hope that the Chancellor will announce effective measures to reduce fuel bills, which have been soaring in recent weeks, and to provide specific support for pensioners and people on lower incomes to tackle the growing scourge of fuel poverty. On Thursday I have a series of regular meetings with my team, including the Liberal Democrat International Development team, before travelling back home to the Borders in the afternoon. On Friday morning I will be visiting Careline, the call centre company in Selkirk, to see how their business is progressing. My surgeries this week will be in the Village Hall in Newcastleton between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, and at the CAB in Hawick between 4.30pm and 5.30pm."
