MICHAEL MOORE'S WEEK AHEAD FOR PARLIAMENTARY RECESS

3.00.35pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 8th Apr 2008

MONDAY 7 APRIL - FRIDAY 18 APRIL 2008

Parliament is in recess until Monday 21 April, so during this period I will be at home in the constituency. Among others, I will have appointments with the following people and organisations:

  • Syntropharma, a pharmaceutical company based in St Boswells, to learn more about the work of the company

  • the Big Lottery Fund and the Heritage Lottery Fund, to discuss how many grants are provided to organisations in the Borders from these two funds and how we can increase the number of applications from organisations in the area

  • St Mary's School in Melrose, to discuss links with African schools

  • Tweedbank Primary School, to hear more about their Fairtrade tuck shop

  • Wilton Primary School and pool, in Hawick

My surgeries will be as follows:

  • on Thursday 10 April 2008 in Old Gala House, Galashiels, between 3pm and 4pm and in the Victoria Hall, Selkirk between 4.30pm and 5.30pm

  • on Friday 18 April 2008 in the CAB offices in Hawick between 4.30pm and 5.30pm
