Jeremy's week ahead5.01.58pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 18th Apr 2008 Week beginning 21 April 2008 On Monday Jeremy will be welcoming Dame Vivienne Westwood to the Scottish Borders before attending a performance of her play, 'Active Resistance to Propaganda' in Galashiels. Jeremy will then escort Dame Westwood to the Scottish Parliament where he is hosting a private drinks reception in her honour. On Tuesday morning Jeremy will be holding a meeting with a well known novelist to discuss her new book, which deals with political and moral issues. Jeremy will be in the Parliament for the reminder of the day. On Wednesday morning Jeremy will be in the Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Committee before attending the launch of the National Universities of Scotland (NUS) report on 'Scotland's Lost Opportunities'. In the afternoon, Jeremy will be in the chamber for the Ministerial Statement on Hepatitis C followed by the Scottish Government Debate on Historic Scotland and Local Authorities. In the evening he will be attending the Microsoft Parliamentary Reception for Skills before attending a showcase of Architecture and Design Scotland's future work. On Thursday morning Jeremy will be in the chamber for the Ministerial Statement on National Qualifications, the Scottish Government Debate on International Education and General Question Time. He will then be attending a lunchtime event hosted by ASDA. In the afternoon, Jeremy will be the guest speaker at the Penicuik Probus Club and will be discussing 'The Future of Devolution'. On Friday morning Jeremy will be attending a Lothian and Borders Waste Management Project meeting. He will then be visiting Broomhill Day Centre for a catch up and discussion. In the afternoon, Jeremy will be holding his regular surgery in Penicuik Town hall from 4.30-6pm. All constituents are welcome to drop in between those times. On Saturday Jeremy will be visiting the Family Mediation Borders centre in Galashiels to discuss the needs of families in the Scottish Borders.
