MICHAEL MOORE'S WEEK AHEAD

Here are some highlights of what I will be doing this week:

"On Monday I will be travelling down to Westminster for the start of the parliamentary week. In the afternoon I will attend the Liberal Democrat International Affairs team meeting before speaking at an event on global politics after September 11.

"On Tuesday morning I will attend the Liberal Democrat Shadow Cabinet before meeting a representative of a satellite television company to discuss matters relating to the forthcoming digital television switchover. Later on I will be meeting a representative of the Salvation Army, followed by a meeting with the Chief Executive of the Digital Switchover Help Scheme. In the evening I will attend a cross-party meeting with representatives from the Scottish Churches Council.

"On Wednesday morning I have a series of regular meetings with my team before attending Scottish Questions in the chamber followed by Prime Minister's Questions. Later on I will meet the Chief Executive of the Scotch Whisky Association before the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Party meeting.

"On Thursday morning I will meet a representative of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission. In the afternoon I will be travelling back home to the Borders, and in the evening I will attend an Army Presentation Team briefing and reception in the Town Hall in Hawick.

"On Friday morning I have a meeting about the Scottish Borders Forum on Competitiveness followed by a meeting with representatives of the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund. My surgeries this week will be in the Town Hall in Coldstream between 2.45pm and 3.45pm, and the Community Centre in Eyemouth between 4.30pm and 5.30pm."
