LIBDEMS IN HOLYROOD TUG O' WAR

Jim Hume, Liberal Democrat MSP for the South of Scotland, led his team to the finals of the charity HBOS/Barnardo's annual tug of war competition in Holyrood last week.

Jim Hume said:

"The Libdem team was strong this year and it's good to have been part of something which raised £5,000 for Barnardo's, a very worth while charity.

The MSP continued:

"The Tories were the defending champions, but lost this time around to The Scotsman Team. We beat Labour to get to the finals, but because of the grouping we weren't paired against the Tories and I hope that next year we'll get that chance.

"Congratulations to everyone who took part in what is always a good natured competition."
