• Employ dog wardens in the morning and early evening to eradicate dog fouling

• Ensure high levels of waste recycling

• More police on the beat to reduce crime

• Ensure a 30% affordable housing policy is in place

• Secure long term core funding for community care and voluntary bodies

• Outsource more services to the voluntary sector and involve our local communities

• Improved public transport

• Safeguard our rural Post Offices

• Attract more businesses and jobs to the area

• Create a tourism strategy

• Ensure a higher public profile to secure job relocation to the Borders
