Priorities for Mid Berwickshire - LibDems will deliver

• Provision of more affordable housing to rent or buy

• Continue to campaign to save rural Post Offices

• Provide mobile facilities for urgent dental care

• Crackdown on litter and dog fouling by employing enforcement officers more flexibly

• Extend kerbside recycling to include all kinds of plastic

• Reverse cuts in social work and roads budgets made by the Independent/Conservative led council

Frances lives in the new Mid-Berwickshire ward at Fogo and is married with three children and five grandchildren. She is very involved in running the family haulage business. Frances has been a member of the Gavinton, Polwarth and Fogo Comm Co since 1997 and is currently Vice-chairman, a post she has held for four years. She led a highly successful Heritage Lottery Fund project which provided a footbridge with paths and visitor information at Fogo. Frances was the Entry Secretary and assisted in the running of the Jim Clark Rally for many years. ( now recovering slowly ! ). She is a keen gardener and her special interests are better health and social care for older people, affordable housing and more support for Border youngsters, especially in sport.
